The defending champion is being disrespected because majority of the peoples pick the Lakers to win the title and not the Celtics. The Celtics is the defending champion, so why most peoples pick the Lakers to win the title and not the Celtics? The Celtics got almost the same casts, the same starters and the only bench players they lose is James Posey.

i personally dont think so, i think the lakers need to make quite some changes this off season even though the lakers have more of a bright future compared to the celtics. though i am a lakers fan and i **** boston, i admit this boston team is one of the best teams in a long time. unless the lakers somehow pick up josh smith in the summer, cause he really gave those celtics a hard time.
